The canoe crossing is a free service provided until Sunday, November 1st, depending on the tide times. Since the 19th century, this small flat-bottomed boat has crossed the channel from one bank to the other, to connect Petit-Fort-Philippe and Grand-Fort-Philippe: The embarkation on the bank of Petit-Fort-Philippe is located at the Anse des Espagnols, and the embarkation of Grand-Fort-Philippe is located 100 meters from the Museum of the Sea.

This original and pleasant idea allows you, for example, to go on foot to visit the maritime museums such as the Sea Museum and the Rescue Museum in Grand-Fort-Philippe or the Petit-Fort-Philippe Lighthouse.

As long as the tide times coincide, the service is also suitable to allow you to go to the markets of Grand-Fort-Philippe on Monday morning or Petit-Fort-Philippe on Sunday morning.
